ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Roberto Montalvo, 42, is accused of aggravated assault, and was arrested at 1:20 a.m. July 4, in the 2100 block of S. Goebbert Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of July 22 was assigned.

ENDANGERING THE LIFE OF A CHILD

Kyle Poklen, 35, is accused of endangering the life of a child, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 12:12 a.m. July 3, at Recreation Park, 500 block of E. Miner Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of July 22 was assigned.

LAST WEEK: Woman Reports False 911 Alarm

A resident in the 600 block of S. Kaspar Avenue reported that between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. June 20, someone stole a purple Reid bicycle, valued at approximately $400, from the front lawn.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES

An employee in the 0-40 block of N. Beverly Lane called police at 9:20 a.m. June 26, to report he was performing work on the residence when someone entered the property without permission. The subject was described as a male approximately 60 years old, with gray hair, wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts. The employee told the subject to leave, to which he responded with some vulgar language.

A resident in the 1500 block of Richmond Street reported at 8:35 p.m. June 29, hearing five or six gunshots in the area. Officers responded and determined it was fireworks being set off.

A homeowner in the 0-100 block of N. Beverly Avenue called police at 3:30 a.m. July 1, to report a motion alert on his security camera. A review of the camera showed a male and female, about twenty years of age, exit the home. The male was wearing a white t-shirt, red baggy pants and a black knit hat with the word "Army" on it. The female was wearing a long sleeve white shirt, red baggy pants and a black New York Yankees hat. Stolen was a pair of Yeezy shoes, iPad, leather Disney backpack and $100.

A resident in the 1500 block of W. Roanoke Drive reported at 3:40 p.m. July 3, he had agreed to sell his PlayStation 5 to someone he spoke to on Facebook Marketplace. Three people arrived at the victim's house. While speaking to the victim, one person entered the residence, grabbed the PlayStation out of the victim's hand and fled on foot. The victim gave chase, but was confronted by another person in the car, who pointed a gun at the victim. The subjects fled in a grey Hyundai.
