Hellboy falls in love, a cinephile makes a terrifying discovery, the dead invade a shopping mall and more in Dark Horse Comics' October solicitations.

Dark Horse Comics is offering readers some spooky selections to dive into this Halloween as the publisher has debuted its upcoming October solicitations.

Night of the Ghoul #1 is the start of a new series from Scott Snyder and Francesco Francavilla. The series follows a major horror cinephile named Forest as he uncovers a lost film titled Night of the Ghoul. The discovery, however, proves to be a dangerous one, as Forest learns Night of the Ghoul may not just be a piece of fiction.

Also coming from Dark Horse in October is a new Hellboy story from Mike Mignola, Christopher Golden, Matt Smith and Chris O'Halloran. Hellboy in Love #1 kicks off a new miniseries following the titular demonic character in a story full of action, adventure and romance.

Elsewhere, Adam Cesare, David Stoll and Justin Berch's Dead Mall #1 additionally debuts in October. The series finds a group of young teenagers stuck in a seemingly abandoned shopping mall, only to find it's inhabited by undead beings who are likely up to something sinister.
